Rules and Regulations



Applications

1. You may apply for more than one division but only in one region.
2. You may choose any province to represent, it does not have to be where you live, but you may only choose one.
3. You must be at least 19 years old as this is being held in a casino.
4. The candidate speaks English reasonably well or has someone to translate for them.
5. The candidate is not employed in the pornography industry.
6. The candidate must have valid identification (passport or drivers license) the day of the competition.
7. Applications may only be submitted by the participant

Contestants

1. Will conduct themselves properly at all times during the competition.
2. Will respect all other competitors at all times.
3. Will comply at all times with the rules and regulations of The CPFC.
4. Will attend the mandatory meeting the day of the competition
5. Will not accept private engagements during the period of the contest.
6. Will sign a Release Form.
7. Will appear on television, radio, film or print media for the publicity and promotion of the competition.
8. Will respect our sponsors by not wearing Logo’s during the competition.
9. Will receive their prizes immediately upon announcement of the winners.
10. Will not be intoxicated for the performance.

Costume Regulations

Bottoms

1. full bottoms are considered 2/3 coverage of the gluteus

2. if a right angle is drawn from the the gluteal cleft vertically (marked as zero degrees) and the gluteal fold horizontally (marked as 90 degress) and the angle of coverage must be no less than 60 degrees

3. a one inch inseam is required, unless the costume fully covers the gluteal crease

Tops

Tops must not show excessive cleavage.

1. At the breastbone, it is recommended that there be at least 2 inches minimum coverage from the bottom of the costume to the top (this refers directly the the section at the center of the chest)

2. Costume tops should not show ANY side breast exposure.

Disqualification During the Competition

1.Contestants may not wear stilettos of any kind.  Barefoot or gymnastics/ballet slippers only.

2.Acts of masturbation or other indecent behavior are prohibited.

3.Contestants must have full bottoms at all times, no g-strings and top coverage as dictated by the Costume Regulations. (Please refer to the section “Costume Regulations” for more details)

4. It is forbidden to perform the show nude or partially nude even if it is accidental. If you are unsure   about your costume, tape it down!

5. During the show, the candidate may not converse with the audience.

6. It is forbidden to remove ANY items of clothing between the neck and knees even if there is clothing underneath (this includes, but is not limited to any items attached to the performance costume such as bows, leg warmers, sashes, decals, flowers, etc.)  The only acceptable items are things that affix above the collar bone (hats, sunglasses, capes, hair accessories, etc).    The art of pole dancing is the center point. Focus on fitness and presentation, not on sensuality. Any sexual suggestion will not be tolerated.  Sexual suggestion is defined as movements that are explicitly erotic or seductive in nature.  Pelvic grinding whether on the floor or on the pole is not acceptable.  Booty popping is not acceptable.  Circular movement of the hips and shoulders along with body waves when used as tasteful, classy accents to a routine ARE acceptable.

7.  There is no touching of the breasts, buttocks or crotch area. Touching is defined as spanking or caressing/grabbing in an erotic or seductive way.

8. Any failure to abide by the above-mentioned rules will result in immediate disqualification.

9. If the organizers feel you are intoxicated and that it is unsafe for you to perform, you will be disqualified.

10.  Music must contain NO profanity or overtly suggestive lyrics.

11. All competitors must conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner showing grace and courtesy to event organizers,  CPFA board members, fellow competitors, and event staff/volunteers.

12. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR CLARIFICATION ON CAPS FOR THE AMATEUR DIVISION.  ANY MOVES BANNED FROM THIS DIVISION PERFORMED IN COMPETITION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION

AERIAL LIFTS

aerial lifts will not be allowed when the hands are the only contact points, must have 3 points of contact for aerial lifts or inverts

NOT ALLOWED: phoenix, handstands/springs from up on the pole

ALLOWED: shoulder mount aerial lifts, step through center split to leg mount as these have 3 contact points during the lift


LEVERS

there will be no levers allowed where the body is in full extension and only 2 contact points are on the pole

NOT ALLOWED: iron x, iron plank, elbow hold levers (2 contact points)

ALLOWED: shoulder mount levers, iguana hold levers (3 contact points- hands and shoulder)


EXTREME FLEXIBILITY

these are decided based on the extreme of flexibility required and/or the danger they represent

NOT ALLOWED: rainbow marchenko, cocoon, Russian roll over split

ALLOWED: janiero, trapped splits, Marion-amber


HANDSTANDS/SPRINGS

these ARE allowed as long as they are either entered into from the floor or descended into from an invert on the pole

feet must stay above the hips in any handstand/spring presented


TUMBLING

there are no movements allowed from up on the pole where the body inverts or become upright through a tumble in which all contact is lost, nor where there is only only point of contact during the transition

NOT ALLOWED: fonji or half fonji, rotating or tumbling drops as in Chinese circus, pop to handstand/spring or back to elbow hold, elbow or handstand drops to shoulder mount

ALLOWED: cartwheel or walkover movement where the feet start on the floor and finish on the floor or pole

 

Terms and Conditions

The CPFA reserves the right to the following:

1. Alter the CPFA rules and regulations at any time.

2. Disqualify any athlete in any CPFA sanctioned provincial or national event in breach of the rules, terms or code of ethics.

3. Disqulify any judge in breach of the rules, terms or code of ethics.

4. To audit any judging, performance, or score card for any competitor or division in any CPFA sanctioned event.

5. To make decisions on any events/occuances brought to light not already addressed in the rules, regulations, and code of ethics prior to, during or after the Canadian Nationals.

The Champion

Photography and Videography

1. All photography and other footage remain the property of the Organization.
2. The candidates have no right to compensation for photography and other footage made before, during and after the event.
2. The candidate explicitly and irrevocably agrees that all footage and photography can be used by the Organization for promotional, advertising and commercial purposes.

Grounds for Disqualification

1. For delegates and the winners of The Canadian Pole Fitness Championships, violation of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement will result in disqualification and dethronement.
2. For delegates and the winners of The CPFC, determination by the Organizer that any of your representations made in your Application Form, this agreement, and/or any other information you supplied in connection with the event, prove to be false and/or inaccurate will result in disqualification and dethronement.

11.In no way shall drugs or alcohol of any kind be referred to, props used, or implied through any part of the performance.

The Competition

1. The candidate may choose the music for their show.
2. The performance should be a minimum of 3.5 minutes and a maximum duration of 6 minutes
3. The candidate will appear in formal wear for the introductions.
4. During the introductions, the candidate may be interviewed by the host and will have to respond to a couple of simple questions.
5. Please look, dress and act professionaly.
6. An expert jury will judge the candidates on the basis of presentation, grace/fluidity and pole tricks. Sub categories will include, Best Pole Tricks, Most Artisitic and Best Entertainer.
7. Candidates may not communicate with members of the judging before and/or during the competition.
8. The Organization reserves the right to expel a candidate from participation, both before and during the competition.
9. The finalists will change back into formal wear for the final ceremony when the winners will be announced.
10. The finalists must be available for a photo shoot immediately following the announcement of the official winners.
11. The Organization expects the prizewinners to cooperate with the promotion of The Canadian Pole Fitness Championship event and activities.
12. Dressing rooms are off limits to family members or friends of the candidates. Makeup artists, organizers and press will only be admitted.

The Canadian Pole Fitness Champion

1. The ‘Canadian Pole Fitness Champion’ title is officialy valid for one year.
2. The Organization reserves the right to retract the title if the winner causes any damages to the Organization.
3. In the case of retraction, the 1st runner-up becomes the new Canadian Pole Fitness Champion.
4. The Champion may compete each year to defend their title.
5. The Champion shall not at any time thereafter commercially exploit the title in any way whatsoever.
6. The Champion shall conduct themselves with decorum during thier reign and shall NOT commit any immoral, illegal or any act or behaviour which, in the sole opinion of the Organizer could bring disrepute, ridicule or contempt to the Miss Pole Dance Canada image and reputation.
7. The Champion will not, appear in print or video pornography during their reign.
8. The winner can not represent two countries at the same time. As The Canadian Pole Fitness Champion, you may compete in any world competition but not another country.
9. As winner of The Canadian Pole Fitness Chapionship, you are not abligated to compete in a World competition and can do so at your own will. We do not endorse any specific World competition.

Legal

1. The Canadian Pole Fitness Association and The Canadian Pole Fitness Champions are not liable for injury or damage resulting from participation in the Canadian Pole Fitness Championship event.
2. The Organization reserves the right to change the rules contained herein.
3. All decisions not addressed in these regulations will be made by the Organization.
4. A decision made by the Canadian Pole Fitness Association is binding.
